what
What is a Relationship Coach?
The short answer is that Relationship coaches help you achieve your personal and relationship goals. Relationship coaches typically have experience and training in various relationship dynamics, from personal and romantic relationships to family relations and friendships. Relationship Coaches bring inspiration and help you with a plan to start living healthy, freer, and with a sense of direction. While working with a Relationship Coach you may often hear yourself saying;
- “Oh, I never looked at it from that perspective”
- “I guess I never thought of it that way”
- “Why didn’t I see this before”
- “Oh wow, that’s deep”
The long answer is this; Life coaches tend to work with people who are motivated to move forward toward personal growth and self-actualization based on today and the future. A Relationship Coach works with you to attain these same goals and also may address potential issues of the past that often restrict moving forward and enjoying life to its fullest.
In various and different areas, we all struggle with hurts, fears, frustrations, and aspirations. Current and past relationships often leave us jaded in life. Even if you don’t know what it is you want to change about yourself or life, relationship coaching is an excellent place to start to discover what you really want, and realize how wholesome your life can be.
The relationship you have with yourself is the foundation in which everything and everyone in your life is built. Improving yourself will improve your overall life.
My area of focus is the relationship you have with yourself. From there all other relationships with your significant other, sibling, co-worker, family member, higher power etc. will automatically realign. The goal of any coach is to ultimately help you win. A coach is trained to find the barriers that prevent us from being the best we can be and guide us with tips and techniques to ultimately win at life.
Let me stress that all relationships start with the relationship you have with yourself. If you are not healthy you will most certainly not attract healthy relationships. I offer a completely free initial call, so you have absolutely nothing to lose. LEARN MORE HERE.
A few key attributes of a great Relationship Coach are:
- The ability to be impartial
- The ability to be completely nonjudgmental
- To be deep and active listeners
- To have the ability to view things from afar — in what some call ‘helicopter vision’ — and to shed new light on difficult situations.
A Relationship Coach will:
- Hold you accountable and challenge you to grow and do more than you think you can do.
- Push, pull, and stretch you in ways that may feel uncomfortable.
- Act as a sounding board through tough decisions because they are your advocate and want what is best for you. While someone close to you such as a close friend, romantic partner or boss may seem to offer good advice, they may not be willing to risk the relationship by being completely honest with you. A Relationship Coach provides fresh perspectives, without the hindrance of emotional involvement.
During your telesession, I will listen to what your troubled areas are and together we can start to develop a plan to address them. If you are not reaching out for a specific reason, I may start with a few general questions such as:
- What are your likes/dislikes about yourself?
- What are your likes/dislikes in life?
- What do you do during your spare time?
- What brings you happiness?
- What do you want out of your relationship(s)?
- What do you want to achieve in life?
- What areas you’re unhappy with?
- Where you would like to see yourself in the future etc. Once this information (and more) is gathered we can then, together, work on a plan to achieve your happiness/goals. I will always offer support, goals and, when necessary and appropriate, offer feedback.
What is Betrayal Trauma and Betrayal Blindness?
Where
One of the tremendous benefits of the digital age is the convenience of social media and technology. Because I am an exclusively online Relationship Coach I can serve anyone from virtually anywhere. Ninety-five percent of my appointments are via telessession with another four percent via instant chat messenger/facebook and I have had clients where email is the main medium for correspondence. I find that some of my younger clients, or those preferring to be more anonymous, prefer to text/email over telephone communication.
Why
I am a relationship coach who specializes in relationships. My area of focus is first and foremost the relationship you have with yourself. From there all other relationships with your significant other, sibling, co-worker, family member, Higher Power etc. will automatically realign. That doesn’t mean all relationships will necessarily improve but your stronger foundation will help the structures of all the relationships around you.
Whether you are single and ready to mingle, newly committed, on the verge of divorce, divorced or otherwise, I can help you with every step of your journey. Let me stress that all relationships start with the relationship you have with yourself. If you are not healthy you will most certainly not attract healthy relationships.
Are you tired of learning lessons the hard way one broken heart at a time? Does someone have a much better chance of breaking into Fort Knox than they would breaking your heart again? Are you living a life as a porcupine walking around with constantly spiked quills? Has life jaded you? Are you currently or generally unhappy and just need to chat? Contact Mr. Jay Today.
Some of my clients simply need a one-time-call while others I have been listening, assisting and helping for months or more. I will help create productive goals, help you stay on top of your goals and be the proverbial wind beneath your wings on your journey.
Wow, sounds great. How much, How do I reach you, and Why you?
I can think of numerous reasons to work with me but here are just three;
1. Experience & Education:
I am not a fly-by-night coach. I have been coaching and assisting others for decades helping countless. My life is my testimony. Unlike other coaches who endured a rough patch and came out of it believing they are ready to help others do the same I’ve lived a lifetime of rough patches and rough relationships that have prepared me for superior coaching. I was my first client and I myself am a success story. As I mentioned above, I hold an associate degree in therapeutic recreation, a dual-study bachelor’s degree in theater and psychology and a master’s degree in Arts and Teaching. Currently hold two Life Coach certifications, a ministry certification, public speaking certification and continuously keep up with the latest coaching modules and developments to better serve my clients. I have worked in schools, psychiatric hospitals, group homes etc., as a youth analyst, teacher, and mental health professional for over twenty years. I have served as a Personal Development/Relationship Coach & counselor at our church, as well as, volunteered for a crisis hotline for years.
2. Time:
One of my pet peeves is professionals who waste unnecessary time. I believe in getting straight to the issue(s) and starting the necessary psychological/emotional surgery to correct it. I have been told I am the Dr. Phil of coaching.
3. Affordability:
One of the core promises I made to myself upon making the decision to become a Relationship Coach was to ensure I can help those that were both broken and broke. I am, hands down and by far, the most affordable coach. In addition to my unbeatable affordability I offer everyone an optional initial free consultation call.
