2 Questions to Help With Rumination
Your thoughts are not you, your feelings are not you. Thoughts and feelings just “are.” You cannot necessarily control what comes into your mind but you do have some control over how long that content stays. Here are two questions that put you in control regarding negative thoughts. These two questions place you from victim to being in control;
#1) Is this useful?
#2) Is this helpful?
Depending on the intrusive thought you may have to repeat these questions but these two questions help put you into the driver seat of your thoughts.
